Lots of descriptions on an angled fascia for easier reading. The reading gives viewers an opportunity to learn more about the prototype being modeled. This approach may not be everyone's cup of tea as it is bit visually distracting. Were this a home layout, the descriptive material could be offered in the form of a booklet given to visitors either to keep or perhaps bound with the intention that the reader return it before leaving the open house or simple visit.
Model railroads that incorporate a waterfront scene always add a bit of attraction to the scene depicted.
