Ron models the PRR's Chestnut Hill, Stifftown and Midvale branches as they appeared in the late 1950s.Ron Hoess layout is in his basement in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Visited by Gary Eames and Nicholas Kalis in 2023. This is a scratch-built HO model of a General Motors stamping plant. The model is "sliced" so to speak at the facade. Incredible modeling deserving of the front cover of any model railroading magazine.
Every structure on Ron's layout is scratch-built and it shows. Ron's layout demonstrates that one can achieve modeling greatness without filling up an entire basement.
