Every model railroader should have a visit to Pendon on their bucket list. Trust me, I am pleased to say that I have made the pilgrimage to both Pendon and the RPI Layout, and my companions in both cases were most pleased. I asked all my companions the same question - "Was it everything I promised you it would be?" The answer was in the affirmative in all cases.
Great public transportation will get you most of the way there but a short taxi ride will be required to get to Long Wittenham.
