Focus On Modelling Techniques No.3 Dioramas & Scenic Settings

This is the oldest diorama how to I have ever encountered - published 43 years ago (as of this writing).
If you are looking for an encyclopedic compendium of diorama and scratch building techniques, this is not the book for you. But....
On page 10 Fosten and Dilley list and explain the eleven principles of composition applicable to good diorama work - the eleven should be memorized and even kept at your workbench for they apply equally if not more so to model railroads.
Just to give you a tease of what Fosten and Dilley's elevenprinciples are: number one is "simplicity" and what that means in the context of a diorama; number eleven is "restraint" and how to apply that to your modeling. For the other nine, I will let you buy the book.
