This is a photo of my HO scale (1:87.1) Lower Montauk Branch set in the early 1960s. The lower Montauk Branch would be set in the western end of Long Island in the Borough of Queens. The Adam Metal Supply building and the white building are from photographs of the prototype. In view is a float bridge in Long Island City. The body of water is the East River. Across the river would be Manhattan. This bridge was built by a friend, Tony Fabrizi. Today, many incorrectly refer to this float bridge as a gantry.

Note the photos of prototype scenes set in the fascia. Also note the unusual fascia color. The backdrop was painted by Sarah Poly, a professional artist.

This layout was built using the domino concept popularized by David Barrow.

I gifted this part of the layout to Ben Hom.
