Helpful Hint - Protecting A Toggle Switch on the Fascia

Helpful Hint

Here we have a simple yet elegant device for protecting an electrical toggle switch from being switched by the inadvertent brushing of a visitor to a model railroad layout. I appreciated how this protector is painted the same color as the fascia. Our model railroad community employs a variety of tactics to protect toggle switches from inadvertent tripping - they range from the individually recessed to recessed as a group. Some modelers just choose to leave the toggle switch exposed. The device chosen in this photograph may be a bit unusual.
