Figure Review - France's MK35 Figures in 1:43 scale

Figure Review

MK35 Editions www.mk35.com is known for figures scaled at 1:35 - not very good for O scale. But I just discovered they have a great line of 1:43 figures that can work in O scale under certain conditions. First, placed next to a 1:43 vehicle - which many O scale folks have on their layouts - they would work perfectly. Second, in the foreground - away from any item with scale - they can also work fine. Their figures are really beautiful and I believe they offer poses and people that other manufacturers do not offer. So if you can adhere to the above suggestions and want a figure on your layout that is unlikely to appear on another layout then might fit the bill nicely for you.

And if you are not keen to include them on your layout, they could work perfectly when photographing your layout and using them to create what is commonly called forced perspective. You will, however, need to paint these figures - they come unpainted.

According to their web site, MK35 Editions are based in the south of France and started 22 years ago. They offer a line of both civilian and military unpainted figures. They don't stop at figures - they also have an assortment of items labeled as accessories that model railroaders should find useful.
