As I have written elsewhere, I find that diorama makers have much to teach model railroaders. Reading books on diorama construction is one way to tap into this knowledge base.  I found Mrosko's 108-page book inspiring and would recommend it to others. Many of the techniques found in its 108 pages are applicable to model railroaders. The photographs in Building Dioramas alone may be worth the price paid for this volume..

Mrosko is also the author of Panzer's Tactics Painting and Weathering Military Vehicles, Volume One - World War Two.
