Visit

This model of Waipahu Fire Station No. 12 by Nicholas Kalis is a two-layer photograph mounted to black foam core. It is set in an O scale depiction of the town of Waipahu. Many of the vehicles are 1:43 scale as that is a common scale for modeled vehicles. The discrepancy is probably not noticeable until one points it out and even then it may not be discernable.

The prototype building was built by the Hawaii Fire Department in 1931 and appears to be of poured concrete.

    Looks great, so realistic in the rustic aging of the building, nice work!
