Helpful Hint - Directional Sign to World's Fair

Helpful Hint

Modelers often overlook including such directional signs as pictured above (Photo 1)  on their layouts.

Growing up in the Metropolitan New York area, many bridges and tunnels and even limited access roads had the names set as a logo of sorts on directional signs. One could follow one's way to a particular tunnel or bridge or parkway by following the logo with its directional signs. When the Flushing Meadows world's fair came to town for some two years starting in 1964, the organizers followed suit and placed such logo signs around to help guide fair goers to their destination.

Perhaps readers can include such signs - as appropriate - to their model railroad layouts to signal a time and place?

My modeled sign may be a tad over-sized or the photo could be exaggerating its size. I am not quite sure.
