Here is a photograph of the Oahu Sugar Company housing for Filipinos. I believe different ethnic groups were housed in separate areas. This was common in the mainland United States as well - in the housing surrounding the Juniata Altoona shops in Pennsylvania, ethnic groups lived segregated according to their ethnicities.
An example of such housing can be seen at a plantation museum on Oahu.
